This privacy policy (the “Policy”) governs your use of Murad, Inc.’s ClearCam by Murad software application (the “App”) for use on a mobile device. By using the App, you consent to this Policy.

What information does the App obtain and how is it used?

Automatically Collected Information: The App collects certain information automatically like the type of mobile device you use, limited location information of the device (i.e., the U.S. state in which the mobile device is used), the IP address and operating system of your mobile device, and information about how you use the App. Authorized third party affiliates process this information to understand how the App is being used.

Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”): By utilizing your photographs in the App, you are providing PII in connection to use of the App. In the event that you post/upload the photos used in connection with the App on a social media platform or other third party website, the photos are subject to the privacy policy of that social media platform or website. If you purchase Murad products via your device’s web browser at Murad.com, use of the website and any PII provided by you is subject to Murad’s terms of use and privacy policy.

We also use Automatically Collected Information for:

Business Transfers. Automatically Collected Information will be disclosed as part of any merger or acquisition, creation of a separate business, or as part of a sale or pledge of Murad assets, and in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which information would be transferred as one of the business assets of the company.

Internal Analysis. We may use the Automatically Collected Information for our own internal analysis. As mentioned above, we outsource these tasks to third parties; however, they may not use or disclose the information for any other purpose.

Protection of Murad and Others. We release information to comply with the law; to enforce or apply our policies; to protect our rights or property, or to protect our users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of, our App; or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay.

Use of App Restricted to Age 13 and Older

The App is intended for use by individuals who are 13 years of age or older. Murad does not knowingly, directly or passively collect information from individuals under the age of 13.

If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his child has provided us with information without their consent, contact us at [email protected]. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Network and Information Security

Murad has no control over the security of other Apps or websites on the Internet that you might visit.

Updating This Policy

We may revise and update this Policy if our practices change, as technology changes, or as we add new services or change existing ones. We will use information in accordance with the most current Policy.
